Mea Allen the actor

"In production, Mea is a leader. She works at a professional level with incredible discipline and enormous collaboration. She was recently cast in Little Women and received high praise from her director during rehearsals. She was also highly successful in the performance, receiving excellent feedback from peers and faculty." - Michelle Lopez Rios (DePaul Faculty member)

"Mea, put [her] heart into Bonnie's character in ways that are impossible to direct. It came from [her] naturally, and that was clear from the very first rehearsal. I felt a weight come off my shoulder and immediately knew this would be a natural process from there on out. I truly couldn't imagine anyone else in the role"- Lara Haciosmongolu (director of My Sister Says You Suck)

"I have had the pleasure of watching Mea grow and mature while working with her [for] nine years.  It is my belief that she possesses not only the talent, but the determination and discipline to succeed in any career path she chooses. " - Keith Cromwell (former Executive producer of Red Mountain Theatre)

She is currently nominated for Best Actress in a Short Film for her role of Lydia in Hot August at Crown Point Film Festival.

2019, Mea won the Audience Choice Best Supporting Actress HOBO Award for her portrayal of Gracie Westmoreland in YELLOW by Del Shores.

Mea Allen the human

Hello everyone! I'm Mea (pronounced like Mia) and I'm from Birmingham, Alabama. If you ever find yourself there you have to go to my favorite coffee shop, the Red Cat Cafe. Get my favorite, the iced Burmese. I love iced coffee, writing (usually bad) screenplays, themed parties, thrifting, being outside, and my dog Lemon!

I grew up in and around water. I love swimming, tubing, and kayaking. Me and my two cousins, Brandon and Eleanor Jo, practically lived on Lay Lake. Growing up, I was always making my own movies and music video's   and forcing those around me to be in them. My friends and I made a VideoStar to every song in Hamilton in middle school. (Featured below is my rendition of you'll be back.) I can probably perform Hamilton as a one woman show. I love anything I can collaborate with others on, even if I am not great at what that is. I love learning and perfecting new skills. I am very competitive and LOVE a good card game. ERS is my personal favorite. Freshmen year of college we got 3 noise complaints because I yelled too much during a game of ERS.  Thanks for checking out my page hehe.
